PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIACasual dining merges with a fusion of flavours at Asian Spice which is set-up to suit the young family demographic present in Kangaroo Point. The menu offers fresh and tasty options from all over the oriental continent, with chef Rom Bringas happy to venture off the menu if you have a hankering for something special. Curries, stir-fries, soups and noodle soups all feature prominently, with an outstanding, albeit short, list of vegetarian options to suit every taste. Gado-gado is a superior representation from the Indonesian islands while salt and pepper tofu will convert even the most dedicated meat-lovers.
The Moreton Bay Bugs are juicy and fresh, coming with either a creamy coriander and white wine sauce or a spicy barbecue chilli marinade and served on a sizzling hotplate, best accompanied by coconut rice. The chicken satay sticks also come strongly recommended. Specially prepared banquet menus are a great way to keep bigger groups happy with a range of all the signature dishes. Its riverside location makes Asian Spice a great place for an early dinner followed by a stroll along the river and down to the park for the kids. Merlot coffee is available to top off a relaxing night out, or enjoy the dessert wines and cocktails if you plan to kick on.
