LOCATION
Sails is located in the parklands at the end of Marine Parade at Suttons Beach, Redcliffe, North of Brisbane.To drive to Sails, turn off Oxley Avenue into MacDonnell Road, then turn left into Marine Parade. Parking is available within the parklands, close to the restaurant and function centre. Further parking is also available if entering Suttons Beach via Anzac Avenue.

A standout choice on the restaurant menu, which is a hit time and time again, is the “taste of the ocean three ways”, offering a trio of different fish including pan-seared scallops, Tasmanian salmon and crispy skinned barramundi. Meat-lovers should opt for the premium char-grilled beef with warm bean cassoulet, black olive tapenade and red wine jus, while spaghetti marinara brings the best of the sea and Italy together with tiger prawns, mussels, reef fish, calamari and a slow-roasted tomato sauce. DETAILS
Sails Restaurant & Function Centre, opened March 21 this year is a towering, grand old art deco structure right on Suttons Beach, complete with a 350 seat restaurant, multiple function rooms and excellent catering facilities. Built on the old landmark Sam's On Suttons site, it maintains the building's structure, but creates a whole new dining experience. The development is the work of Airport Retail Enterprises Pty Ltd (ARE), which acquired the Sam's On Suttons site in late 2006. With its prime beachside location and beautiful structure, the old Sam's on Suttons site always had the potential to be a great dining spot.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Sails’ Executive Chef, Toddi Bragason, oversees the restaurant and function menus. Toddi, who has experience in European, Asian and modern Australian cuisine preparation, has worked throughout the world providing culinary expertise as an Executive Chef to a wide variety of restaurants, cruise ships and four and five star resorts.
Toddi is recognised for his passion in menu creation and his expertise in a-la-carte and fine dining food preparation. He will lead the exciting new kitchen at Sails Restaurant and Function Centre and establish an appealing menu to suit the stunning beachside dining venue.
Working alongside Toddi is Sails' Food & Beverage Director, Michael Augustin, who manages the restaurant and function bookings, staff, presentation and front-of-house. Sails' executive team is committed to creating great experiences for all Sails customers. The team ensures that all events, from a restaurant dinner for two to a wedding for four hundred, are seamlessly managed and perfectly presented.
